Proton's privacy angle is real — the whole stack runs end-to-end, and if you want zero-knowledge encryption in the actual sense of the phrase, where the company itself can't read your data, that's it. But the family-sharing screens felt rougher than 1Password's, and rough is the one thing that gets a plan abandoned before month one.
